This prod­uct is pre­ferred for type II di­a­betes where diet and phys­i­cal ex­er­cise alone are in­ef­fec­tive in con­trol­ling blood sugar. For adults, this prod­uct can be used as monother­apy or in com­bi­na­tion with sul­fony­lureas or in­sulin. For chil­dren and ado­les­cents 10 years and older, this prod­uct can be used as monother­apy or in com­bi­na­tion with in­sulin.
